Our Mission

The Khulasat Center for Research and Policy Studies enriches research on political, social, economic, and cultural issues in Yemen and the Arab region through in-depth field research, diverse reports and publications, public policy papers, peer-reviewed scientific books, specialized conferences, workshops, and seminars, as well as training programs and support for research capabilities.

In line with its vision to deepen understanding of societal issues in their local dimensions and regional and international intersections, Khulasat Center places great emphasis on accumulating rigorous research contributions that offer unique perspectives on reapproaching state and societal issues in unstable contexts and post-conflict communities. This is achieved through local researchers, experts, and practitioners with experience from these communities, who are capable of asking the right questions and approaching them with modern scientific and experimental tools and comparative methodologies that link research and analysis with leading and useful global experiences.

Our Goals

• Support and accompany early recovery and revitalization processes, the rule of law, civil space and its freedoms, women's rights, social justice, and national and societal tolerance.
• Contribute to evaluating experiences in building the rule of law, democratic transition, and institutional reform to extract constructive lessons and deepen pathways of transformation and development.
• Build promising partnerships with local research communities to study human rights, accountability, fairness, reparations, reconstruction, issues of vulnerable and marginalized groups, climate justice, sustainable development goals, governance, poverty reduction, rural issues, focusing on barriers and challenges from multiple sources.
• Provide strategic insights into the issues and challenges facing state and society through in-depth analyses and recommendations on public policies.
• Study Yemen’s and its community's relationships with its immediate surroundings and the influential global policies in all their aspects.
• Contribute to a better understanding of various challenges and draw attention of decision-makers, actors, and the public to local, regional, and international issues and challenges.
• Direct research efforts towards the main issues and challenges facing the state and society.
• Enrich political, social, economic, and cultural issues with further understanding and analysis based on field data from various perspectives.
